Is internet included?
Yes, internet is included. It is covered through the monthly EGWI fee, which you pay together with your regular rental charges.
Is parking available for residents?
We have a parking garage with spaces rented out via BPark.
Is bike storage available?
Yes, bike storage is available. There are two shed areas on each corner of the building with plenty of space.
Are utilities included in my rent?
utilities are accounted for separately to your rent and are a fixed monthly rate. The following utilities are included:
Water
Electricity
Gas
Weekly Cleaning of the common areas
Wifi
Are there community events for residents?
Yes! CityCampus has a dedicated community manager and we organise events designed to help residents connect, relax, and make the most of their student experience. These may include social gatherings, welcome drinks, cultural activities, sports events, workshops, and seasonal celebrations. All events are created to foster a sense of community and make it easy to meet new people.
Can I personalise or decorate my room?
Yes! You are welcome to personalise and decorate your room to make it feel like home. Small decorative items such as photos, plants, posters, cushions, or desk accessories are all perfectly fine. We simply ask that any changes are temporary and do not damage walls, furniture, or fixtures. Permanent alterations — such as repainting, drilling, or removing/adding built‑in elements — aren’t allowed.
If you’re unsure whether something is permitted, your local residence team will be happy to help.Can I change rooms after moving in?
Please contact the local team to check if this change is possible. We cannot guarantee availability, and a fee may apply.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed.

Is a deposit required?
Yes. The deposit must be paid no later than three months before the contract starts. You will receive it back within two months after the end of the contract, provided that the room is left in good condition and everything is in order.
How long are CityCampus tenancy agreements? What is the duration of my contract?
In Belgium, standard tenancy agreements are typically 12‑month contracts. We give priority to these full‑year agreements. However, shorter stays can be accommodated, depending on availability.

After you submit your reservation form, our local team will contact you within 24 hours with an overview of the available rooms, along with any additional information you may need.
If you’d like to visit the residence, scheduling an appointment is always possible.
Once you decide to take a room, we’ll request a few personal details from you so we can prepare your rental agreement. After that, you’re all set to move forward with your booking!What documents do I need to complete my booking?
You’ll need to provide the following:
- A copy of your passport, or a local ID card if you are an EU national
- A university acceptance letter, or a copy of your student card if you’re already enrolled
- Details of a guarantor and proof of funds.
How far in advance can I book accommodation?
We open bookings on a rolling basis. Most of our students start at the beginning of the school year in September and these bookings are typically made 4-5 months in advance. However we accept booking throughout the year according to availability.
Can international students book a room?
Yes, absolutely — international students are more than welcome at CityCampus!
With students from around 90 nationalities living across our residences in 8 different countries, CityCampus offers an international environment where you can meet new people, make friends from all over the world, and feel at home from day one.
Do I need to be a full-time student to book a room?
No — you don’t have to be a full‑time student to live with us.
Both full‑time and part‑time students aged 18 or older are welcome. As long as you are enrolled in an accredited study programme (and you have a proof of enrollment), you can book a room and become part of our student community.Who can live in CityCampus student housing?
Students from all backgrounds are welcome at CityCampus.

What should I bring with me when moving in?
When moving in, you will need to bring your own mattress (if not purchased with us), bedding and towels, as these are not provided. Additionally, you can purchase other items through our partnership with Menaki - https://menaki.es
Is my room furnished?
Yes, each room is furnished with a bedframe (without matress), desk, chair and a wardrobe. Rooms come with a bed frame, a study desk and chair, and a closet for storage. Co-housing rooms come with a sink, comfy rooms come with an ensuite bathroom (with a sink, toilet and shower). Studios come with a kitchenette, including a hob, sink and cabinets.
Will there be staff available when I arrive?
If you follow the detailed check-in and move‑in procedure ( sent to you a couple of weeks before the lease start), our local team will be available to assist you during regular office hours.
Can I move in earlier than my contract start date?
In general, moving in before your official contract start date is not possible. Your room will only be available from the date stated in your lease agreement.
If you have a special circumstance and need to request an earlier arrival, please contact your local team. They can check availability and let you know whether an early move‑in can be accommodated, though this is not guaranteed.What should I do if I arrive outside office hours?
You will also receive detailed move‑in and check‑in instructions a few weeks before your lease begins, which include guidance on key or access collection. Always check this information carefully and reach out to the local team if your arrival time falls outside the standard window.

No, bedding and kitchen items are not included in the room. You will need to bring your own bedding, towels, cookware, crockery, and cutlery. However our communal kitchens are kitted with all kitchen utensils you will need to cook in the communal space.When can I move in?
You may move in any time during office hours starting from the official start date of your contract. If you expect to arrive outside office hours, please contact the local team in advance to request approval.
You will also receive detailed arrival instructions approximately a few weeks before your tenancy begins.

What payment methods are accepted?
We use Rentio to manage our rental agreement and payments. Each month you will receive a payment link.
Can I terminate my contract early?
Student leases in Belgium normally run for a fixed term of 12 months and end automatically on the contract’s end date.
Ending the contract early is only legally allowed if:You stop your studies
A death of a parent or person responsible of your rent
Loss of visa or residence permit
Each situation require a 2‑month notice period, starting the first day of the following month. In all other cases, early termination is not permitted unless CityCampus agrees to a transfer.
What is included in the rent?
Your monthly payment includes:
Base rent
Utilities: electricity, gas (if applicable), water, and internet
What happens if my payment fails?
It’s your responsibility to keep your payments up to date. If a payment fails, please contact our team so we can help you resolve the issue as soon as possible.

What should I do if something breaks in my room?
If something breaks in your room, please report to our staff. Our team will assess the issue and arrange the necessary maintenance or replacement. Please note that if the damage was caused by misuse or is not considered normal wear and tear, repair costs may apply.
Who do I contact in an emergency?
In case of an emergency, please contact our staff during office hours. Outside of office hours, you can call the emergency line for assistance. Both contact details will be shared with you when you check-in.

What is the move-out process?
The move‑out process is simple. Before you leave, a room inspection will be carried out, and any refundable amounts—such as your deposit—will be processed based on the condition of the room, furniture, and equipment.
