This Privacy Policy governs the processing of your personal data by the controller: HERES, with registered office at Janseniusstraat 49, 3000 Leuven, Belgium, and registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (CBE) under number BE0863948217 (hereinafter: “HERES”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully, as it contains essential information about how your personal data is processed and which cookies are used. Article 1 – General

  1. HERES complies with the anti-spam provisions of Book XII of the Code of Economic Law concerning the “law of the electronic economy”.

  2. HERES also complies with the European Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data through this Privacy Policy.

  3. The controller of your personal data is HERES. A declaration has been filed with the Commission for the Protection of Privacy regarding the processing of your personal data.

Article 2 – Personal data

2.1. Personal data you share with us:

  • Category 1: without registration: your IP address;

  • Category 2: completing forms or placing orders without registration: all fields in the form, as well as your IP address;

  • Category 3: upon registration: all fields in the form, as well as your IP address and password;

  • Category 4: via cookies.

2.2. HERES may collect data from you (Personal Data) in various ways:

a. through the use of cookies (see below);

b. during your registration and use of the Website;

2.3. The Website also uses cookies that collect certain personal data. For the provisions regarding the use of cookies, see Article 8.

Article 3 – Purposes of the processing

3.1. General purposes:

HERES will use the Personal Data collected from you solely for the following purposes:

  • Category 1: maintaining and improving this Website and including Personal Data in anonymous statistics, from which the identity of specific persons or companies cannot be determined, based on the legitimate interests of HERES to continuously improve its Website and services;

You have the right to access your personal data free of charge at any time, as well as information on how we use your personal data.

5.2. Right of correction, deletion and restriction:

You are free to choose whether or not to share your personal data with HERES. You also have the right to request us to correct, supplement, or delete your personal data at any time. You acknowledge that refusing to share your personal data or requesting its deletion may result in certain services and products not being available.

You may also request that the processing of your Personal Data be restricted.

5.3. Right to object:

You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons.

In addition, you always have the right to object to the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes; in such a case, you do not have to provide reasons.

5.4. Right to data portability:

You have the right to obtain your Personal Data processed by Us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and/or to transfer it to other controllers.

5.5. Right to withdraw consent:

This does not affect a provision before a civil court.
